Sheesha Media is a non-profit media organization that publishes its content on the Sheesha Media website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. The board of directors is the license holder of this non-profit media organization. Sheesha Media produces content on various cultural, political, economic, and social issues in dialogues, reports, articles, audio, video, and text format.

The goal of Sheesha Media is enlightenment, expansion of democracy, protection of human rights, and development of the rule of law. It observes and adheres to all media professional and ethical principles.



The objective of Sheesha Media is to advance human rights and empower communities through civic engagement, democratic development, and civil reconciliation. We believe that oral history and personal anecdotes provide a foundation for strengthening the modernization and transformation of society.

Our aim is to foster an environment where every individual is valuable and can make meaningful contributions to the success of their community. By supporting marginalized groups, we create opportunities for communities to unite and work towards a brighter future. Our efforts towards civil reconciliation are geared towards mending the wounds of the past and promoting a shared vision for an equitable future in which everyone has equal human rights.

Ahmad Ali Hassani

Ahmad Ali Hassani, was born in 1992 in the village of Espok, Miramor district of Daikundi province. As the eldest son of a modest family, he began his elementary education at the age of seven under the tutelage of a local teacher who taught the children of the village.

Nasrin Hussaini

Born on March 26, 1981, Ms. Nasreen Hussaini got her Bachelor's degree in Law with a focus on Judiciary and Prosecution.
From a young age, she participated in school plays and developed an interest in the performing arts. As an Afghan refugee, she couldn’t attend university in Iran. However, she began learning photography in 2000 with a Panasonic camera and became acquainted with Afghan artists, participating in their artistic endeavors.

Ali Omid is a highly experienced Afghan photographer, journalist, and graphic designer with over two decades of expertise in his field. Born in 1981 in Zard Sang, a village in the Panjab district of Bamyan province, Omid received his primary education at Zard Sang school and completed high school at Panjab High School. In 2003, he earned his university degree in Graphic Design from Kabul University's Faculty of Fine Arts.

Hamida Lesani

Hamida Lesani was born in 1979 in the Behsud district of Maidan Wardak province, Afghanistan. At the age of four, she migrated with her family to Iran. Tragically, she lost her parents at the age of six, and her brother and sister-in-law took responsibility for her and her younger sister.
