“Sheesha Media”

“Sheesha Media” is a constellation of aligned, concurrent media platforms across social networks, including a website, a YouTube channel and pages, Facebook page, Instagram, Telegram, and X Spaces. The name “Sheesha” (Glass) was chosen deliberately so that this media can carry something of glass’s meaning in a glass-like way: transparency, beauty, colorlessness, depth, and reflection.

“Sheesha” makes it possible to arrive at a “mirror” – a space where a person’s image is reflected back to the self, not to “the other.” In a mirror, one encounters oneself under one’s own judgment; and it is precisely this inner judgment that forms the foundation of the value we honor as moral conscience and human ethics.

Yet “Sheesha” is not merely an instrument of reflection. It is also a field in which multiple images can be seen simultaneously from different angles. If a mirror typically shows a single image from a single vantage point, glass makes it possible for realities and narratives—side by side and in symmetry – to be viewed from diverse perspectives.

“Sheesha,” like a mirror, does not pass verdict on reality. It reflects names, faces, and facts as they are, and as they wish to be seen—without assuming the seat of a judge. Even so, it is clear that we do not place Sheesha before everything, nor do we reflect everything within it. For us, “Sheesha” is a delicate and honored trust: a trust handed from one generation to itself, and from itself to the generations that follow – a trust safeguarded both through wise use and responsible protection.

Within “Sheesha,” we do not scatter the dust of rancor, resentment, or hate. We choose the subjects and faces we reflect, yet each person and each reality retains a free and autonomous presence within “Sheesha.” We do not pry hidden things from beneath anyone’s words, nor from under the layers of any reality. Everything is reflected as it is, and as its source wishes. And once a face or a reality is reflected in “Sheesha,” judgment of that reflection is entrusted to the people and to history – and that is exactly what “Sheesha” seeks.

Alongside dialogue, “Sheesha” is also a space for reflecting the art, literature, and creations of our yesterday, today, and tomorrow. In “Sheesha,” we extend respect to the hands of every artist and creator.

We are also mindful of glass’s particular fragility – a fragility that is not easily repaired. That is why “Sheesha” requires a delicate and attentive care. We do not throw glass against every stone; for we know that if glass breaks, its regret remains forever. It is true that “glass, when broken, becomes sharper”; yet broken glass is no longer the glass from which one can expect a glass-like benefit.

Let us not break the Sheesha
Let us not seek to shatter it…
Let us protect it…

With “Sheesha,” we come as guests into your presence;
open your kind hands to welcome “Sheesha.”
